Suddenly the tension came to a peak when a man came in. He walked into the center of the room and cleared his throat. He introduced himself as Sean Cannon, she recognized the name as the writer of the letter Andreas had received. He read a letter out loud, it was from Brian O'Donnell's widow, claiming the right to all of the paintings and announcing that the auction would be cancelled or at least delayed until Friday. She could hear bits and pieces of upset conversations as she walked around the room looking at some of the paintings that she by now had heard so much about. |
