Part II
Last night was magnificent. In the early evening we all met at Fulda train station. After a delicious Italian dinner we spent half of the night in the Irish pub spinning visions of the next days on Achill Island. And now we are all sitting in the train to Brussels on our way to Ireland . It is weird that this letter we all received with the auction invitation brought us together again. Mary is sitting right next to me probably fallen asleep. I still don’t know why the two of us received this letter. I can understand that Celeste got the invitation because she is going to assist in verifying the validity of the paintings. In the meantime she is employed by the famous Museum of Arts in Florenz. And finally Maria is planning to work on the relationship trail there. This is also imaginable for me. But what about Mary - yes she ever had lots of secrets around her. To me it seemed that this made her very interesting. You could actually think that she is in her special way always on a search - but for what?? I’ll ask her later...I hate these non-smoking trains it’s ruthless against smokers that they always have to go half around the world to have the chance to smoke a cigarette. On my way to the smoking compartment I have to pass the ICE-Bistro. I'm very surprised when I dicover a sign that tells me smoking is allowed in the Bistro. Of course I immidiadetely take the chance to light a cigarette. I love to observe people especially when I'm smoking. Inside the Bistro-wagon I notice some people drinking champagne and -- isn't it a remarkable coincidence? -- talking about Ireland. There is a woman with a black Gucchi-bag sitting with an man in the age about 30. They seem to know each other very well. They are talking to another man with flaming red hair wearing flashy clothes (he's sporting a yellow scarf!) and an elderly woman about maybe 50 years old. What a fancy group...
"In wenigen Minuten erreichen wir Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof!" -- the voice from the loudspeakers reminds me that I should go back to my seat where Mary and my luggagge are waiting for me. In a few minutes we have to change the train to Cologne.
