Three meet again
Ralph Püttmann
|
"Did you have a nice day in Dublin?" a male voice asked.
"Quite nice, thanks. Actually, I did the full sight seeing program," a female voice answered.
"So did I, funny we didn't meet."
"Instead, I kept bumping into a guy who looked exactly like Oscar Wilde. Tall, heavy, extremely extravagant clothes. All in black, but with a yellow scarf…"
Vincent had heard those voices before, but wasn't sure where or when.
He looked around for familiar faces but quickly took the newspaper back
up again to hide behind it. His two pub acquaintances walked past him.
"As if I'd known… Of course they know each other!" he said to himself.
"What is she doing here with that
guy?" Vincent only hoped that he
would be able to avoid them until Westport, where they would certainly
get off.
