Part IVThe train to Brussels was overcrowded. "Why do they all want to travel to Brussels? I thought in this time of the year everybody is travelling to Cologne because of the carnival..." I asked the other girls. But finally we discovered some empty seats.
In their compartment were sitting many different people. There was an old man who invited a couple (maybe?) to a coup of coffee. A young lady was sitting next to a man who was staring at a young man who is wearing a catering uniform and bumping into lots of people (including us) while crossing the carriage.
Because of the high speed train it didn't take us too long to Brussels. We caught our plane to Dublin without incident.
The plane was mixed with a lot of different people from different countries and cultures. I couldn't imagine that - but it really happened - an eccentric lady is sitting in a plane with a guitar. The sympathetic old man from the train is as well on board. There is much more to tell about these people in the train....
What a strange trip. I ordered a cup of coffee but it tasted terrible. We found out that the attendants had probably mixed up the salt and sugar packets. Except this the flight was actually uneventfully.Although it was very late we enjoyed Dublins nightlife. This city is much more exciting than the boring Fulda. We found a small pub just around the corner of our comfortable hostel. The waitress convinced us to order some whisky. We agreed because we thought in Ireland you're supposed to.
It was remarkable that we saw some guys standing at the bar we already noticed on our plane...
We really had a good talk in this old-fashioned dark smoky pub. So we lost our feeling for time completely. The next morning our trip continued. We were very excited. More and more people seemed to become familiar. Isn't' it crazy to be in a foreign country with the feeling to know the faces of so many people??? What will expect us?
We took a taxi to that strange event at the art gallery...
