Jennifer (Jenny) Herz, 41 years old. Her real first name is Marion, but she changed it at the age of 17. Jenny is devorced and lives in Kassel. She originates from Zwickau, a city in the former GDR; her mother brought her up alone (which means: with the help of the state-owned day-nurseries, so called "Krippen" and schools).

At the age of 23 she "left" the GDR and her partylined husband, studied at Bonn-University history of art and is working in her "exile" Kassel since 1991 at the "documenta-archive". Jenny is medium-sized and slender (or fat?), has red hair and blue eyes, wears mostly long skirts, always black, loves cycling and is an enthusiastic playgoer. Eagerly she likes to chat about cultural life. Therefore she must keep herself well informed and spends at lot of money for culture events.

Grownup without a father (her mother never talked about him) and disappointed about her marriage with a gasingeneer in Zwickau, Jenny hesitates to begin emotional connections, however has a lot of good friends all over Germany.

Right now she is doing research about Irish painters of the 20-th. Century. From a telefone call of George Klein she heard about Brian O`Donnell. Her ambition was stuck: a report about those new discovered paintings would give her an international reputation, so that she could leave her exile in Kassel.
