Template for Activities/Workshops in Ireland:

Title[1] of Activity

„All about O’Donnell“

Description[2]

The participants have to interact with the members of all the other workshops, which take place during the week. They have to find ways to combine the different ideas  as much as possible and useful.

They produce a concept for the framework of the story.

They paint a few „Early O’Donnell’s“ with acrylic paints (can be very effectful). Joseph O’Dalaigh, a professional painter from Achill Island gives some lessons.

Themes could be:

  • O'Donnell's loneliness
  • O'Donnell's irish landscape
  • O'Donnell's visions of the New World
  • sunset over keel beach
  • O'Donnell's Vision of the new train station
  • Portrait of a young unknown person
  • O'Donnell's favorite gambling-den
  • nightmare and lighthouse
  • Trains, Travel, Dreams

Previous experiences in painting would be good.
We
work with the digital camera to photograph their paintings.
In the next step we learn how to do picture processing.

By the way the participants have to develop a concept how to present and how to put up their results for the auction.
