Title[1] of Activity |
Travelling Away |
Description[2] |
Participants will try to consider their own country's experience of emigration and travel and the part it has played/plays in their culture. They will talk to the islanders about how travel has affected Achill. They will talk especially to the older generation about their experiences of travelling or emigration. Emigration in itself could be a sensitive issue so we could use the concept of travel to broaden it and we could also perhaps share memories of past train journeys versus today's charter flights. If possible we will make a web map and hypertext to show the journeys. Perhaps a different type of travelogue that will mirror the one we are making for the Connect project. |

If an activity does not meet all criteria, this does not mean it cannot be done, of course. Activities should “largely meet the criteria”. Often other participants have good ideas how to include further aspects which are still missing.
Good luck
